Objectives

The objectives are the following:

selecting common items at a European level identifying a "best practice" in order to evaluate training in apprenticeship carried out in the companies;

outlining common items at a European level defining a reference guide to improve the coaching and tutoring phases during training in apprenticeship carried out in the companies;

experimenting at a European level some procedures in order to execute an effective evaluation plan. Through the latter it will be possible to carry out the and apprentices balance of technical – professional and socio – cultural competences (with reference to company backgrounds).

 

Activities

The activities are the following:

study and comparative analysis of some apprenticeship European systems;

survey carried out in some European countries companies usually using apprenticeship in order to understand "rationality, action modalities, needs" characterising the tutorship action with regards to apprentices and (eventual) evaluation typologies/strategies developed within companies;

handbook elaboration in order to evaluate apprenticeship within the company and successive experimentation/dissemination phase through seminars and workshops with the main stakeholders (company tutors, company training managers, professional training teachers and experts).

 

Aims

The aims are the following:

structuring a system of procedures and methodologies at a European level in order to evaluate apprenticeship formative paths of a technical –practical nature;

experimenting and realising a first validation of results within the scope of methodologies to evaluate apprenticeship formative paths of a technical –practical nature;

starting the dissemination at a European level of the results obtained through the publishing of a handbook and a CD-ROM containing materials to evaluate apprenticeship within the company, the realisation of a website dedicated to new scenarios of apprenticeship evaluation within European companies. .
